Glue and steel mounting plates for magnets
Accessories for raw magnets include mounting plates that can be either screwed on or glued, special magnetic adhesives and a self-adhesive non-slip rubber.
Sometimes aids are needed when using magnets, for example if there are no suitable iron surfaces available. For this reason, we have put together a high-quality range of magnetic bases and adhesives specially for magnets. In addition, self-adhesive anti-slip rubber can be used to prevent magnets from slipping and scratching.

Strong magnetic adhesive for a secure hold
When installing raw magnets, gluing is the most popular method. It is important that the magnetic adhesive hardens completely! It must not show any residual elasticity after drying. That is why conventional craft adhesives are not suitable for gluing magnets. For many applications, the use of superglue is sufficient. However, if you want to be on the safe side, we recommend glue that is specially designed for magnet connections. In particular, if the raw magnet is subject to heavy use, a magnetic adhesive should be used.
Depending on the connecting piece, magnetic adhesives are suitable for magnet-metal or magnet-plastic connections. When gluing, it is essential to ensure that the adhesive has completely hardened before the magnet is used. Please also refer to our application notes and data sheets for the specific adhesives.
Adhesive plates for magnets – for gluing or screwing
Steel counter plates are designed for applications where the appropriate surface for the magnet is missing. Surfaces such as wood or aluminum are good examples of this.
With a flat screw-on counter plate, you can create a surface for magnets in the doors of cabinets or drawers. The matching magnet can be mounted on the other side, and just like that, you have created a magnetic locking mechanism!
However, screwing is not always possible, which is why we also have adhesive plates in our range. On the back is a strong foam adhesive that can compensate for slight unevenness on the adhesive surface.
An adhesive plate for magnets can be used universally and enables a range of exciting applications!
Anti-slip rubber for magnets
Self-adhesive anti-slip rubber is stuck onto the holding surface of the magnet. This has two major advantages: When used vertically, the magnet is less likely to slip and, at the same time, the surfaces are protected. This is because unsightly scratches can occur when the magnet slips.
The anti-slip rubber provides more friction between the magnet and the holding surface, thus increasing the shear force. This is the force needed to make a magnet slip on a smooth surface. As a rule, it is about 30% of the adhesive force of the magnet. With the self-adhesive anti-slip rubber, it can be increased to almost 60%!
