Neodymium magnets resistant up to 150°C
Neodymium magnets up to 150°C are ideal for applications with high ambient temperatures.
Normal neodymium magnets are resistant up to 80°C. As soon as this number is exceeded, they lose their holding force irreparably. This does not happen to these temperature-resistant disc magnets! They can withstand 70°C more than normal magnets with the same holding force due to a special outer coating.
We offer a range of sizes of these special magnets at affordable bulk prices in our magnet shop. If temperatures do not exceed 80°C, please refer to our normal neodymium disc magnets.

What is the best way to install temperature-resistant disc magnets?
Neodymium disc magnets up to 150°C are raw magnets. They do not offer any direct means of attachment. Due to the higher temperatures, gluing also makes no sense, since the adhesive dissolves under these conditions. We therefore recommend installation by pressing in. This ensures that the magnet is firmly seated and can fulfill its function. If you need heat-resistant magnets for screw mounting, magnetic systems are a much better option. They are equipped with various threads and can be easily screwed into place.
Magnetic properties of heat-resistant neodymium magnets
Unlike conventional disc magnets with the magnet quality N42, our temperature-resistant neodymium magnets have the code N42SH. SH indicates the maximum operating temperature of 150°C and is the only difference to our normal neodymium magnets. Temperature-resistant disc magnets are also axially magnetized. This means that their north and south poles are located on the circular outer surfaces. Not sure whether these magnets are the right ones for your application? Our sales engineers and magnet experts will be happy to help! For more information about magnets, their maximum operating temperature and magnet quality, visit our magnet encyclopedia.
