Self-adhesive magnets with counterpart
Whether you need a magnetic folder clasp, to hold flaps and covers or to realize creative ideas, our self-adhesive magnets with counterpart are universally applicable. They consist of two neodymium disc magnets with self-adhesive on the back and are only sold as a pair.
One major advantage is the unlimited possibilities for use. The self-adhesive magnets with counterpart come as a pair and adhere to each other. This eliminates the need for an iron surface and allows them to be used on smooth surfaces such as sanded wood, aluminum or plastic.

Self-adhesive magnetic plates for flaps and fasteners
The small dimensions and flat design of the self-adhesive magnetic plates make them virtually invisible after mounting. In particular, our self-adhesive magnets Ø10x0.6mm are ideal for closing folders. The self-adhesive magnets are arranged in pairs on a carrier tape and are delivered with a protective film on the adhesive film. This can be removed using the tab – and the magnetic plates are ready to be stuck on!
If the adhesive magnets are not used immediately, they can simply be stored on the supplied carrier tape. This keeps them organized and prevents them from flying around.
Why do self-adhesive magnets stick to each other?
In physics class, we quickly learn about magnetism: like poles repel each other and unlike poles attract each other. This is precisely the principle we use for strong adhesive magnets. The neodymium disc magnets are axially magnetized. This means that they have their north and south poles on the circular outer surfaces. When the self-adhesive magnets are arranged in pairs, one magnet is glued to the north pole and the other to the south pole. The result is magnets with adhesive that attract each other due to the free opposing poles.
Of course, the adhesive force is matched to the holding power of the disc magnets. This ensures that the self-adhesive magnets do not accidentally come off during use.
Important information on the use of self-adhesive magnets
Our adhesive magnets have a thin self-adhesive film on the back. Because of this, they are not suitable for all surfaces. The self-adhesive magnet cannot compensate for irregularities on the surface, which means that it loses some of its adhesive power. The following steps should be taken before gluing:
- Self-adhesive magnets with counterpart only adhere to smooth surfaces. Make sure you clean the surface beforehand. Dirt and grease reduce the adhesive force.
- After removing the protective film, the magnet should be glued immediately. Do not touch the adhesive surface – this impairs the adhesion.
- After attaching, press the disc magnet firmly into place and let it rest. This gives the adhesive film time to bind with the surface.
- Humidity has a negative effect on the adhesive. For this reason, self-adhesive magnets are not suitable for outdoor areas or bathrooms.
