Magnets for glass magnetic boards – For elegant and modern surfaces
Glass magnetic boards are a popular, modern alternative to classic pinboards. They look elegant and are perfect for use in offices, conference rooms or showrooms. However, one disadvantage of this modern magnetic board is that magnets have to overcome an air gap. Since glass is not magnetic, a steel plate must be placed under the glass pane to act as a counterpart for the magnets. This distance between magnet and counterpart is called an “air gap”. Weaker magnetic board magnets do not have enough holding power to overcome this air gap. They hardly adhere to the glass surface and certainly cannot hold notes or documents.
