Accessories for pot magnets and flat grippers include mounting plates that can be either glued or screwed on, special magnetic adhesives, and rubber sleeves for the holding surface. These protect your surfaces from slipping and scratching.

Steel plates for magnets – for gluing or screwing
The steel plates for magnets are designed for applications where the appropriate surface for the magnet to adhere to is missing. Surfaces such as wood or glass are good examples of this. With a flat adhesive plate for screwing, you can create a surface for magnets to adhere to in the doors of cupboards or drawers. On the other side, the appropriate magnet can be mounted and you have created a magnetic locking mechanism! However, screwing is not always possible, which is why we also have adhesive plates in our range. On the back is a strong foam adhesive that can compensate for slight unevenness on the adhesive surface. Adhesive plates for magnets can be used universally and enable a range of exciting applications!
Strong adhesive for magnet applications
When installing raw magnets, gluing is the most popular method. It is important that the glue hardens completely! It must not show any residual elasticity after drying. Therefore, conventional craft glues are not suitable for gluing magnets.
For many applications, the use of superglue is sufficient. However, if you want to be on the safe side, we recommend glue specifically for magnet connections. Especially if the raw magnet is subject to heavy use, a strong adhesive for magnet applications should be used.
Depending on the connecting piece, the glues are suitable for magnet-metal or magnet-plastic connections. When gluing, it is essential to ensure that the magnetic glue hardens completely before the magnet is used. Please also refer to our application notes and data sheets for the specific adhesives.
Rubber sleeves for pot magnets
Rubber sleeves are placed on the holding surface of the pot magnet. These have two major advantages:
When used vertically, the magnet is less likely to slip and at the same time the surfaces are protected. This is because unsightly scratches can occur when the magnet slips.
The rubber sleeves increase the friction between the magnet and the holding surface, thereby increasing the shear force. This is the force needed to make a magnet slip on a smooth surface. It is usually about 30% of the holding force of the magnet. With the rubber sleeves, it can be increased to almost 60%!
