Heat-resistant deep pot magnets
Equipped with a magnetic core made of samarium-cobalt or AlNiCo, temperature-resistant deep pot magnets are important components in industry. They hold hot workpieces during processing and are installed in devices with high ambient temperatures, such as drying ovens or powder coating systems.

SmCo or AlNiCo: An overview of temperature-resistant deep pot magnets
Deep pot magnets with high temperature resistance are equipped with either a samarium cobalt or an AlNiCo magnet core. These differ mainly in two factors: holding force and heat resistance.
Temperature-resistant bar magnets made of SmCo have high holding forces and can withstand temperatures of up to 180°C. That's an impressive 100°C more than comparable bar magnet systems made of neodymium. They can either be pressed in or screwed on using an internal thread.
AlNiCo bar magnets are by far the winners when it comes to temperature resistance at temperatures from -200°C to +450°C. They are used in deep mining technology, for handling hot castings or in drying ovens.

Good to know: When handling aggressive media, we recommend our V2A deep pot magnets, as these are resistant to most acids and alkalis.
