Temperature-resistant pot magnets with bore and conical countersink
Optionally with a magnetic core made of SmCo or AlNiCo, our temperature-resistant pot magnets with countersunk bore are designed for applications with extreme ambient temperatures. Depending on the magnetic core, these magnets can be used at temperatures of up to 280°C or 450°C.

Heat-resistant pot magnets with countersunk borehole for screw mounting
These magnets combine maximum heat resistance with easy mounting via the central borehole with conical countersink. Heat-resistant flat pot magnets with countersunk borehole are used primarily in drying ovens, in low-lying technology and in toolmaking.
When bolted to a workbench, these flat grippers hold iron and steel parts securely during machining. Welding workpieces is also possible, since the magnets can withstand the high temperatures that occur during processing.
By the way: you can watch our heat-resistant flat grippers with countersunk bore in action on our YouTube channel. It's worth taking a look!
Temperature-resistant pot magnets with counterbore – design and function
The design and function of flat pot magnets is always the same, regardless of the magnet core. The raw magnet made of SmCo or AlNiCo is pressed into a steel pot. This steel pot fulfills several functions:
- Shielding: The steel protects the magnet from external influences and at the same time shields the magnetism. The magnetic force is concentrated exclusively on the open holding surface.
- Strengthening the holding force: The steel absorbs the magnetic field lines of the magnet and directs them to the open holding surface. This bundling of the field lines results in an increase in the holding force of the magnet.
- Resilience: raw magnets without a steel casing can quickly chip when force is applied. The steel pot makes the magnet more robust and opens up a range of mounting options, such as screw threads for screwing on.
