Magna-C - Strong Magnets and Strong Service for 50 Years
In our magnet store you will find a comprehensive range of magnets for industry, trade and craft. We draw on 50 years of experience in the magnet industry and regularly adapt our product range to the needs of the market. Strong magnets made of neodymium, ferrite, samarium-cobalt or AlNiCo are used in many sectors such as industry, electrical engineering and medicine. Depending on the application, factors such as shape, holding force, temperature resistance and coating are decisive. For these reasons, choosing the right magnet is crucial for success and service life.
Magnets and their different characteristics
The properties of magnets can differ greatly from each other - depending on the magnetic material used. Basically, there are four different materials they can be made of: Neodymium, Ferrite, Samarium-Cobalt and AlNiCo. Neodymium magnets are enormously strong even in small dimensions and for this reason can be used in a wide range of applications. They can withstand temperatures of up to 80°C without any problems before losing their adhesive force. Ferrite magnets are weaker than neodymium magnets, but more resistant to temperatures. They can withstand temperatures up to 200°C without losing their holding force. Heat-resistant magnets made of samarium-cobalt or AlNiCo are suitable for even higher temperatures. Depending on the design, they can withstand temperatures of up to 500°C! Ideal for applications in painting and powder coating plants and drying ovens.
The right magnet for every application
No matter what material the magnet is made of, they all have one crucial ability: they attract objects made of iron or sheet steel and hold them in the selected position. In industry, magnets are reliable helpers for lifting, transporting and fixing various loads. They are used in conveyor belts and in mechanical engineering. A strong magnet installed in filter systems helps to free granulate and liquids from metallic impurities. As a closing magnet installed in furniture, they keep doors and flaps open or closed. Magnets can also be incorporated into flexible carrier materials. These so-called magnetic foils are important components in the advertising industry and storage technology. They are printed on the non-magnetic side and serve as magnetic advertising signs. Cut into smaller tags, they are used in mobile warehouse labeling.
Buy magnets in different sizes and shapes
At Magna-C, we mainly distinguish between two types: raw magnets and magnet systems - also called pot magnets. Our raw magnets come in different shapes depending on the magnet material: Neodymium and Ferrite magnets are available as disc magnets, bar magnets, ring magnets and cuboid magnets. Samarium-Cobalt raw magnets are only available as disc and block magnets. Our AlNiCo raw magnets are only available as bar magnets. Bar magnets have the special feature that the magnet is enclosed in a steel shell. This reinforces the holding force of the magnet on the holding surface and shields it at the same time. In addition, the steel jacket can be equipped with various threads such as an internal or external thread. This facilitates mounting and protects the magnet from external influences.
