Heat-resistant flat bar magnets for use at up to 300°C
These heat-resistant magnetic strips get their high durability from the AlNiCo magnet material. This stands for the alloy of iron, aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co).
Even though the use of AlNiCo has declined significantly in recent years and has been replaced by neodymium magnets, there are still applications that cannot do without this magnetic material. The reason for this is the stable magnetization after artificial aging and the high temperature resistance. As a result, magnets made of AlNiCo are still used for sensors and traditional loudspeakers.
Heat-resistant magnet bars are still used in industry at temperatures of up to 300°C. They perform the function of holding magnets during welding work or in coating plants, as neodymium magnets can only be used at temperatures of up to 80°C. You can find more useful information about this magnet material in our magnet encyclopedia under the entry AlNiCo!
