Areas of application
Magna-C's special adhesive Magnet/Metal 65001 is a high-performance, single-component, acrylate-based adhesive that has been specially developed for bonding magnets to metal. The adhesive has a high viscosity and provides a reliable bond. It is not suitable for plastics or oxygen-rich environments and offers a long-lasting solution for industrial and technical applications where magnet-metal connections are required.
Main applications:
Fixing of ferrites on plated electric motor parts, bonding of speaker components and use in jewelry applications where quick fixing is required.
Storage:
Optimal storage between 8 °C and 21 °C in unopened container. Avoid temperatures below 8 °C or above 28 °C to preserve product properties.
Properties:
- High shear strength: Particularly suitable for sandblasted metal surfaces.
- Temperature resistance: Optimized for different ambient temperatures.
- Resistance: Resistant to motor oil, water-glycol mixtures and moisture (each tested under test conditions).
- Cleaning: Surfaces to be bonded must be clean and grease-free.
- Activator 7649: For best results, apply to one surface.
- Bonding gap: Optimal at 0.1 mm; for larger gaps (up to 0.5 mm), apply activator to both sides.
- Assembly: Assemble parts within 15 minutes.
- Curing time: Typically 24–72 hours depending on the bonding gap and conditions.
