SmCo pot magnets with cylindrical countersink
With a magnetic core made of SmCo, these pot magnets combine high holding forces with easy mounting through the central borehole. This magnet system is designed for temperatures up to 350°C and is suitable for use in drying ovens, in toolmaking or for powder coating systems. They are mounted through the center bore with a cylinder head screw.
Temperature-resistant pot magnets with a cylindrical countersink are durable, have a strong hold and are quick to install.
In our magnet shop, we offer various sizes for different needs.

Temperature-resistant screw-on pot magnets – design and function
The design and function of flat grippers is always the same, regardless of the magnet core. The samarium cobalt raw magnet is pressed into a steel pot that fulfills several functions:
- Shielding: The steel protects the magnet from external influences and simultaneously shields the magnetism. The magnetic force is concentrated exclusively on the open holding surface.
- Strengthening the holding force: The steel absorbs the field lines of the magnet and directs them to the open holding surface. This bundling of the field lines results in an increase in the holding force of the magnet.
- Resistance: raw magnets without a steel casing can quickly chip when force is applied. The steel casing makes the magnet more robust and opens up a range of mounting options, such as screw threads for screwing on.
