What is a magnetic catch?
A magnetic catch consists of two parts: a magnet built into a plastic or metal casing and a steel counterplate. The casing of the catch usually has holes for screwing it to the door. The counterplate also has holes on one side and is mounted on the opposite surface. When the door is closed, the two parts are magnetically attracted to each other, keeping the door firmly closed. This technique is particularly suitable for cabinet doors that are to remain closed without the need for an additional handle or mechanism.

Magnetic catches for cabinet doors – How to install them correctly
Installing a magnetic catch is easy and requires only a few simple steps. The magnet is attached to the cabinet body through the holes in the casing, while the steel counter plate is attached to the opposite door. It is important to align both parts precisely for optimal closure. A snug fit will keep the door firmly in place and prevent it from being opened accidentally.
