Ferrite pot magnets without thread
Flat ferrite pot magnets – also known as flat grippers – are magnets that are built into a steel pot. With a maximum operating temperature of 200°C, they are more resistant to high temperatures than neodymium pot magnets of the same construction.
Due to the design without a thread, they are usually installed by gluing or by pressing them into a suitable recess. Our threadless ferrite pot magnets are available in galvanized or white-painted versions, depending on the size.

Installing ferrite pot magnets without a thread
Ferrite pot magnets are often equipped with a thread to make it easier to install this magnet system. A pot magnet without a thread can only be installed by gluing or pressing, but it still has all the other advantages of magnet systems.
The advantages over conventional raw magnets are the protection or shielding of the magnet and the simultaneous increase in holding power.
The field lines of the magnet are directed through the steel pot to the open holding surface. This results in a higher magnetic force than, for example, a ferrite disc magnet with identical dimensions.
For some applications, the brittle nature of raw magnets is not suitable due to the stress during use. For such applications, the use of a flat ferrite pot magnet without a thread is recommended. If the holding power of the hard ferrite magnet is insufficient, pot magnets made of neodymium can be used.
Hard ferrite pot magnets from Magna-C
In our magnet shop, we offer many different types of hard ferrite pot magnets. If you are unable to install them by gluing or pressing, the steel pot can be equipped with various threads. This can make mounting our ferrite pot magnets much easier.
These versions can also be found in our magnet shop:
- internal thread
- threaded bush
- threaded pin
- conical countersink
- cylindrical countersink
- with hook or eyelet
