Rubberized magnets round
Rubberized magnetic systems are characterized by three main features: very high holding power thanks to neodymium magnets, no slipping and gentle treatment of your surfaces. Just like pot magnets, rubberized magnets can also be equipped with a thread or central borehole.
At Magna-C, you will find a variety of rubberized magnets in different designs and sizes. We also carry ultra-strong rubberized magnet systems with a holding power of up to 450 kg. These are mainly used in wind turbines to magnetically attach climbing ladders inside. In this way, our rubberized neodymium magnets make an important contribution to the energy transition.

Rubber magnets for outdoor use
Besides the advantages mentioned, such as protection against slipping and scratching, rubber magnets have another advantage. Thanks to their rubber coating, they are suitable for outdoor use! Raw magnets made of neodymium do have a nickel coating that protects the magnet from corrosion, but this can flake off over time. These open spots are susceptible to rust and can slowly destroy the magnet. Neodymium magnets with a rubber coating do not have this problem. They are protected from the weather by the rubber coating. That is why rubberized magnets are particularly popular in the advertising industry. They are screwed onto the back of advertising signs and can be attached to exterior surfaces.
In our magnet shop, we offer rubber-coated pot magnets with various fasteners:
- without thread
- internal thread
- threaded bushing
- threaded pin
- conical countersink
- cylindrical countersink
- with hook or eyelet
Instructions for using neodymium magnets with a rubber coating
Just like neodymium magnets and magnet systems, rubberized neodymium magnets are also very strong and must be handled with care. To prevent injury from bruising, never place your finger between the magnet and the adhesive surface. Rubberized magnets do not cope well with heat. They are temperature resistant up to 60°C. At higher temperatures, the rubber starts to melt and to stick to the surface it is attached to. Therefore, rubber magnets are not suitable for high-temperature applications. Petrol and solvents also attack the rubber coating and should not be used in combination with rubberized magnets.
Rubberized magnet systems and the energy transition
Our strong rubberized magnet systems are used in wind turbines and thus contribute to the energy transition. Due to the statics, it is not allowed to drill into the walls of wind turbines. We have rubberized magnets with adhesive forces of up to 450 kg in our range. These are used to attach ladders, boxes and other heavy objects inside the wind turbine. With such enormous magnetic force, the objects are held as if they were screwed on and cannot be removed again without tools. If you want to use these magnet systems with rubber coating, be sure to consult our magnet experts! Please also note the supplied application and safety instructions. We provide you with assembly and disassembly instructions and information on transport and storage.
